The Altai Territory has unique resources for the development of tourism in general and children's tourism in particular. Favorable climate conditions, uncomplicated relief of low-mountain ranges, an abundance of unique natural monuments, rich cultural and historical heritage allows us to develop numerous directions in youth tourism. These are various types of sports tourism, local history expeditions, mobile and stationary children's camps and excursion activities, as well as spa treatment.

Currently, many tourist enterprises specialize in receiving children's groups who come on vacation, there are also specialized children's camp sites, summer children's tent camps in the area of ​​the lower Katun, Gorny Charysh, Gornaya Kolyvan and the steppe zone of the Altai Territory. Hiking routes for children of different ages have been developed and are being successfully implemented (the most popular are in Gorny Charysh and the left bank of the lower Katun), children's rafting on the rivers Katun, Biya, Charysh, Anui, etc.

More and more travel companies create conditions for recreation in Altai with children. At the tourist centers, children's pools and playrooms are equipped, simple excursion routes and rafting are offered.
