The Mamontovsky Museum is one of the largest regional local history museums in the Altai Territory. His collection includes more than 31.5 thousand items. Two-thirds of the collection is divided into six permanent sections and displayed to visitors.
Part of the exposition acquaints the guests of Mamontov with archaeological monuments and finds on the territory of the region. In the hall of antiquities, there is a hunting weapon from the Bronze Age - a comb ax and other rarities from the Stone Age to the Middle Ages. The nature hall contains representatives of flora and fauna, information about the ecological state of the area.
The cut of the 18th-20th centuries is full of ethnographic, numismatic and documentary evidence of the peasant way of life, fragments of church utensils. The war periods of the twentieth century are represented by letters, weapons and belongings of participants in the battles of the First World War, civil, Great Patriotic and local conflicts. An extensive section is devoted to the modern achievements of the region, the milestones of its development and the people who are proud of their fellow countrymen.
