House of the merchant Sychev

Altai Territory, city of Biysk, st. Soviet, 3

The house of Mikhail Savelievich Sychev - an honorary citizen of the city, a merchant-guild, at whose expense the Cathedral of the Assumption Cathedral was practically built, whose headman he was for 18 years.

Married twice, Mikhail Savelyevich in his second marriage was honored to become a father again. His youngest "Minya" - Mikhail Mikhailovich Sychev - received the nickname "Duroplyas" from the inhabitants of Biysk. After graduating from one of the closed Swiss boarding houses, in 1912 he returned to the distant, outskirts of Biysk. And roofing felts from an unsuccessful marriage, roofing felts from the inescapable Russian melancholy Minya, who spoke several European languages perfectly, began to "freak out." Being the owner of one of the first cars in Biysk, he, with a gang of his father's clerks, chased at full speed the herds of geese, pigs, chickens that local inhabitants kept in their farmsteads, shamelessly crushed them. But at the same time, a wonderful thing, the owners of the ruined living creatures themselves often threw their "pets" under the wheels of Minka's car! Everything was explained simply - although Minka was "Duroplyas", he always honestly and even overpayed for every "pig" or "goose" soul he ruined.
