Russian-German House

Barnaul, st. Gogol, 44

The Altai Regional Russian-German House occupies an old building that belonged to the famous merchant Ivan Polyakov. The two-storey asymmetric building dates back to the beginning of the 20th century. The right side of the facade is crowned with a hipped tower with a wrought-iron railing. The entrance to the courtyard is decorated with a brick arch with turrets; ornaments of figured bricks are made in the masonry of the walls.

In 2006, the building was reconstructed while maintaining the original appearance. It borders on another Polyakov's house, known among the townspeople as the Krasny store.
