The building of the former City Duma was built in Barnaul during the First World War by the project of the architect I. F. Nosovich. Before the revolution, the first floor was occupied by the store of the S.Ya. Yakovlev and A.I. Polyakov ”, the City Duma and the City Council were located on the second floor.
During the Great Patriotic War, a hospital worked in the building. Now part of the premises is occupied by the City Museum. The building is recognized as a monument of regional significance and belongs to the historical center of Barnaul.
