In addition to the every Sunday summer races of trotters and prize horses, the regional hippodrome organizes and hosts the most diverse entertainment events. At the drawing of the Cup of the Governor of the Altai Territory within the framework of the Big Siberian Circle competitions, spectators do not fit into the stands. The format of the Grand Prix Monte Carlo resembles a social event. The opening of the Altai Wintering Festival becomes a noisy carnival. The patriotic holiday dedicated to Victory Day is remembered for the spectacular tricks performed by the military and the parade of technology.

The huge territory of the hippodrome hosts large-scale competitions for motor and motorcycle athletes. Russian freestyle motocross stars, motorcycle clubs of the region and neighboring regions take part in the FMX Extreme Show motocross. Cycling stunts, demonstration performances of motorcycle schools in Barnaul, a beauty contest "Miss Extreme" and an exhibition of motor vehicles add to the entertainment of the event.

Winter track car races for the Governor's Cup gather the strongest pilots from more than a dozen cities at the Barnaul hippodrome. The winner gets a solid prize - a new Lada Granta. These competitions are considered the 5th stage of the Cup of the Urals, Siberia and Kazakhstan.
